VTNHSRC Scholarship 2011

This year the New Hampshire-Vermont Society for Respiratory Care will grant cash awards from the Scholarship Fund to Senior Respiratory Therapy Students, based on a research project presented at the Annual Conference on October 11, 2011.

1st place = $500
2nd place = $300
3rd place = $200

The criteria for eligibility and expectations for the scholarship winners are listed below. Questions may be directed to Eric Lindquist or your clinical instuctors.

This year we are changing the criteria for eligibility and expectations for the scholarships:

  1. Must be second year student matriculated in a Respiratory Care Program
  2. Must reside in Vermont or New Hampshire or attending a Vermont or New Hampshire Respiratory Care Program
  3. All participants must present on the first day, via poster presentation, at the VTNHSRC annual meeting.
  4. Topics must be related to Respiratory Care. Can include but not limited to:
    • Research
    • Mechanical Ventilation
    • Case Study
    • Product evaluation
    • Disease state
  5. Submission
    • Student must submit topic to Program director
    • Letter from program director stating they are a student
    • All submissions are due October 6th
  6. Judging
    • The judges will be selected from the lecturer
    • Respiratory therapist at the conference
  7. Awards Criteria
    • Knowledge of topic presented
    • Thoroughness of presentation
    • Appearance of presentation
